A Playful & Romantic Couples Photoshoot in La Conner, Washington

Mathea and Brenden were so much fun to photograph during their couples photoshoot in La Conner, Washington. From the moment we started, their energy felt easy and light. They made each other laugh constantly, and you could tell right away how comfortable they are together.

This session is a great reminder that you don’t need a major life event to book a photoshoot. Being in love, spending time together, and wanting to capture this season as it is—that’s reason enough.

La Conner was the perfect backdrop for this session. It’s a small town, but it’s full of charm. We started near the waterfront boardwalk where Mathea and Brenden walked hand in hand, pausing for quick kisses and quiet moments along the way. The still water and little boats gave the session a peaceful, cozy vibe.

After that, we headed to a nearby park with tall trees and open green space. They spun each other around, joked back and forth, and just had fun being together. I focused on capturing that natural connection—the way they light up around each other and the little moments in between.

We finished up at the iconic red-orange bridge that crosses the water in town. It added a bold pop of color to the end of the session, and gave us a few final shots that really stood out.
