Seattle Ferry to Bainbridge Island
Alyssa & Amanda’s Engagement Photoshoot
I am a huge believer that engagement photoshoots should include an activity other than just taking photos. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of thinking your engagement photos have to look or feel a certain way, such as perfectly posed, ultra formal, or straight out of a Pinterest board. But here’s the truth: your engagement photoshoot should be a reflection of you as a couple, AND it should be fun! Instead of planning your engagement session around try to capture specific photos, you plan a fun activity to do together.
For their engagement photoshoot, Alyssa and Amanda liked the idea of taking the Seattle ferry to Bainbridge Island. This ferry route is a just a quick 30 minutes across the Puget Sound and doesn’t require a reservation if you are walking on. You can find the schedule and book tickets here: Washington State Ferries.
Once we arrived to Bainbridge Island we took a jaunty walk over to Pegasus Coffee and warmed up with some tasty drinks. Stopping for a quick coffee break is one of my favorite activities to incorporate into a photoshoot because it allows you to slow down, be present in the moment, and most importantly it gives you something to do with your hands!
The ferry ride back, with views of the Seattle skyline, was the perfect way to wrap up this fun engagement photoshoot.
